The Inn on Water Lane is Tappahannock's latest boutique accommodation and is located at the corner of Water Lane and Earl Street, only a few steps from the St. Margaret's campus and ideal for visiting parents and families, or for doing business here in Downtown Tappahannock.

Nestled in the heart of Tappahannock's downtown historic district, guests can walk to several local restaurants, the Rappahannock River which is one block from the house, and many of the area's renown antique stores. Truly located in on the most attractive and quiet street in the area with beautiful scenery and plenty of room to walk, jog, run or cycle right outside your front door.

From a practical living point of view , the Inn on Water Lane is well situated - within 3 blocks are the US Post Office, Dentist, Doctors, Lowery's Restaurant, Fat Finch Restaurant, Mexican Restaurant, Rivahside Cafe, the Tappahannock Pharmacy, town police and county sheriff's department, hairdressers, Virginia Delegate's office, Essex County administrators office, insurance and lawyers offices, museum, local EVB, First Union Bank and Essex Bank branch offices, and much more.

Day trips to the many historic attractions in the area include Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, Richmond, Civil War battle sites, and several wineries. The living and kitchen area has the latest appliances, flat screen television, internet connection, cable TV, washer/dryer and your own individual temperature control.

A screened in porch provide outdoor relaxation and smoking facilities. A private area at the rear of the building provides safe free car parking.
